
Yoga Nidra
Yoga Nidra is a beautiful practice created to help us reclaim our right to rest and regenerate. It is done entirely lying down in relative stillness while the teacher talks you through a script that helps you become more embodied, relax and rest.
I discovered it during my teachers training, when I had already been sleep-deprived for 4 and a half years because my twin boys never slept! When I got up off my mat, for the first time since their birth, my eyes were mot burning!
Yoga Nidra is my go-to practice when I am too agitated to sleep at night, and when the Full Moon is out ...
I add Yoga Nidra to all of the workshops I teach, because it is of enormous importance for our mental and physical health, and because, to me, it is magical.
